[op-tuh-muhm tem-per-uh-cher] (n): the temperature
at which a detergent or ultrasonic bath works best, or a washer-disinfector dries
and disinfects best.
The right Temperature matters!
Detergents in manual and automated cleaning and in ultrasonic baths work best in
a certain temperature range. If too hot, enzymes can denature and add to the soil
on the instrument. If too cold, they don’t work as well or at all.
In a washer-disinfector’s thermal disinfection/dry phase, the temperature must be
high enough to do the job.
Healthmark’s temperature verification products give you the tools to ensure that
these process parameters are what they should be.
